Ustawa Rządowa – Government Act
Konstytucja 3 Maja or The Constitution of 3 May, 1791 took 32 months to draft a final version. This historic document was created to redress the “Nobles Democracy” a system that gave too many rights for nobility and corrupted the politics of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In short it sought political equality between the townspeople and nobility.
